This Privacy Policy explains how Calabash Inc LLC (“Calabash,” “WorthIt,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the WorthIt mobile application, participate in its beta program, visit calabashincllc.com, or communicate with us.
1. Information we collect
Account and profile information
When you create a WorthIt account, we may collect your email address, authentication information, username, display name, profile photo, and account preferences.
Posts, marketplace content, and activity
We collect information you choose to submit, including photos, questions, descriptions, categories, product details, prices, links, poll choices, votes, comments, saved items, listings, reports, blocks, and other interactions with WorthIt.
Orders and payments
When marketplace features are available and you make or receive a purchase, we may process order details, transaction status, shipping and delivery information, refunds, disputes, and related communications. Payment-card details are processed by our payment provider; WorthIt does not store complete card numbers or card security codes.
Device, location, and technical information
We may collect device and operating-system details, app version, IP address, timestamps, session identifiers, notification tokens, crash information, diagnostic events, and security logs. If a WorthIt feature requests location and you grant permission, we may process the location information needed for that feature. You can control location permission through your device settings.
Support and beta feedback
If you contact us or participate in beta testing, we collect the messages, screenshots, bug reports, survey responses, and contact information you provide.
Website information
Our corporate website does not offer user accounts or collect payments. We do not add advertising trackers or analytics to these pages. Hosting and security providers may process technical information such as IP address, browser details, requested pages, and access times to deliver and protect the website.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, personalize, maintain, and improve WorthIt.
- Create and secure accounts and keep users signed in.
- Display posts, listings, photos, votes, comments, and results as directed by users.
- Process marketplace orders, payments, delivery, refunds, and disputes when those features are available.
- Send account, safety, transaction, result, and notification messages.
- Provide support and respond to beta feedback.
- Detect fraud, spam, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our rules.
- Moderate content and enforce reports, blocks, removals, and account restrictions.
- Understand app performance and how features are used.
- Comply with legal obligations and protect users, Calabash, and others.
3. Public information and user-generated content
Profile details, posts, photos, listings, poll results, votes, comments, and other content may be visible to other users or the public, depending on the feature and your settings. Do not post personal or sensitive information that you do not want others to see. Other users may capture or reshare content that is visible to them.
4. When we disclose information
Service providers. We use providers that support authentication, cloud hosting, database and media storage, notifications, app diagnostics, security, customer support, and payment processing. They may process information for us to provide those services.
Other users and transaction participants. We disclose information needed to publish user-directed content and, when marketplace features are available, to complete transactions between buyers and sellers.
Legal and safety purposes. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or lawful process, enforce our terms, investigate abuse or fraud, protect rights and safety, or secure our services.
Business changes. Information may be transferred as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law.
At your direction. We may disclose information when you ask us to or provide consent.
WorthIt does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
5. Retention
We retain information while your account is active and for as long as reasonably necessary to provide WorthIt, complete transactions, meet legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce agreements, and maintain security. Retention periods vary by information type and purpose. Deleted information may remain temporarily in backups or be retained where required by law.
6. Your choices and privacy rights
You can update available profile information, manage notification and device permissions, delete eligible content, and use reporting or blocking controls within WorthIt.
You may delete your WorthIt account from the account settings in the app. Account deletion removes or de-identifies associated personal information unless we need to retain limited information for legal, transaction, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; or appeal a privacy-request decision. 7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Use strong credentials and protect access to your devices and account.
8. Children’s privacy
WorthIt is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that such information was collected, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided personal information may contact us.
9. International use
Calabash operates from the United States. If you use WorthIt from another country, information may be processed in the United States and other locations where we or our service providers operate, subject to applicable safeguards.
10. Third-party services and links
WorthIt may contain product, retailer, affiliate, payment, map, or other third-party services and links. Those parties operate under their own privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information or completing a transaction.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as WorthIt changes. We will post the revised policy here, update the date above, and provide additional notice when required by law or when a change is material.
